MAC matchmaster foundation-Review

I recently purchased the matchmaster foundation at MAC while in America, after being recommended it by an employee. I got matched as the shade 1.0, which is the lightest shade. However, I still find this a slight touch too dark for my very pale skin.

This foundation retails for £29 for 35ml. It comes in 12 shades, which go quite dark. The matchmaster foundation claims to use "Shade Intelligence Technology to offer customisable pigments that adjust to your skin tone." It claims to be a demi-matter finish with medium buildable coverage with an SPF 15. It claims to last 8 hours and be for all skin types.

I find that this foundation does offer a matte finish, however I do not believe that it is for all skin types. My skin is a little bit dry on my forehead and around my nose, which is the places that this foundation really clings to. It emphasises the dry patches on my face so I find that if you have dry skin then this foundation would not be best for you.

I find that it is quite a light to medium coverage. It lasts quite a long time, so the 8 hour claim seems correct. The bottle is very nice and it comes with a pump, which some other MAC foundations do not have.

I use an oval brush to apply it, as I find it gives a better coverage. However, sometimes I go back with a beauty blender later on just to make sure everything is blended well.

In conclusion, I find that the foundation is relatively good, however it is just not the right foundation for my skin type. Also, it does not go really pale so that's another down side for me. However, this foundation should be good for most people.
